I spent much of my early life trying to live up to the standards of my earthly father. I rarely was successful at this which often left me feeling defeated, rejected and hopeless. It seemed I could never do enough. In the same way, I believed God’s love and acceptance was based on my performance. If I was doing well, I felt I had God’s approval and could come into His presence. If I stumbled, which I often did, I felt unworthy and would isolate myself from God and others.

I was always trying to earn God’s love but Ephesians 2:4-5 states, Because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in our transgressions - it is by grace you have been saved.

I found out that even when my life was filled with rebellious and destructive ways, God forgave me, called me and chose me to be His son. God adopted me into His family and loved me in a way I have never known. His love was not and is not based on what I did or did not do but on who He is.

By faith I know I am His child and He delights in me. Nothing can ever separate me from His love. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!

I have believed that the Lord would provide since the very beginning; part of that belief
is in Tithing no matter what the financial picture looks like, and trusting the Lord to
take care of our needs in spite of the Tithing looking like a further drain on our
finances. The Lord has always been faithful in every instance to meet our needs. There came
a time recently when it seemed impossible that we would receive what we needed to make ends
meet, it was like a supreme test of faith. And I began to actually worry, wondering how
this situation could ever turn around. I felt urged as I was in the midst of my worry to go
to the front window of our house. There I saw a sight that I have never seen before or
since, there were literally thirty sparrows eating along the edges of our driveway. I called my wife to
the window to see them. The Lord said, oh you of little faith, if I care for them, how much more will I
care for you? I knew then that we must trust him even when things are seemingly impossible, for
his ways are not our ways and his thoughts not our thoughts.
And our financial situation literally disappeared the next day by very unusual
circumstances, nothing we could have expected. I believe the Lord put thirty sparrows in the
driveway instead of one or two or three there to emphasize the point, thirty definitely had an
immediate impact on me. You must seek him, read his word daily, there is much understanding
and power in his word the Holy Spirit will guide you, speak to him often, and he will answer, desire
to be the least in his kingdom, strive to be the least, humble yourself, put all others ahead of you
and ask him for his will to be done, not yours, and all things will be added unto you! Praise the
Lord, give a shout to the Lord, give thanks to him who reigns as King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
He is the lion of Judah! Thank you Jesus!
